Opportunity

The Invictus Games presented an opportunity to document one of the world’s most powerful demonstrations of resilience, bringing together wounded, injured, and ill service members from over 20 nations.

The founder of Mission Sierra Media (Michel Sauret) supported the team’s visual strategy by capturing Team U.S. athletes competing across a newly expanded slate of winter sports, including alpine skiing, biathlon, and skeleton … all within dynamic, high-risk, and emotionally charged environments.

The assignment required:

  • Coverage across multiple international venues
  • Rapid adaptation to evolving competition schedules
  • Storytelling that balanced athletic performance with human resilience
  • Visual documentation of athletes overcoming life-altering injuries

All while operating in extreme weather conditions and high-tempo event environments.

Operating alongside athletes and support teams, we focused on:
